We strive to improve the experience of our Workday customers with great observability, effective incident response and collaboration with various development and support organizations.About the RoleWe are looking for a dedicated and hands-on Site Reliability Engineering Manager to lead a team of SREs working on monitoring the health of critical services in the production environments, improving reliability, and building solutions to reduce toil. In this role, you will be collaborating with Service Management, Infrastructure, Product Development, Customer Support and other teams in providing our customers the highest reliability and best-in-class experience.

Your typical day would include the followingGrow and lead a team of dedicated and passionate site reliability engineersProvide leadership to an agile team on delivering impactful, high quality solutionsEncourage, support and drive innovation on our internal products and processesLead Major Incident responses and drive resolutionCoordinate standardizing processes across the Global organizationCollaborate with SRE Leaders across different regions to operate a successful 24/7 Global SRE teamEncourage fun and think of innovative ways to support our core value of fun!Ensure that the team has a high-level engagement through clear roles, career growth and career development opportunities, recognition and feedbackCommunicate strategically and influence partners, peers, management and the team on key decisions.You will be a perfect fit, if you have the technical skills of an SRE, enjoy solving problems and also passionate about building and leading teams.About YouBasic Qualifications8+ years of experience building and handling large scale distributed and highly available systems3+ years of experience building and managing SRE or Production Operations teamsBS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experienceOther QualificationsDeep understanding of software development processProficiency in at least one of the following languages (Golang, Python, Java)Knowledge of networking fundamentals and systems managementExperience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerizationDeep understanding of SRE principles, including monitoring, alerting, error budgets, SLOsKnowledge in reliability patternsExperience in eliminating toil through automation and process improvementsExcited to support career growth and development of team membersExcellent interpersonal skills and capability to work with technical and business teamsExperience working with different levels of management and influencing decision makingPay Transparency StatementThe annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.

Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process.
