Capture inefficiencies across broad portions of the local org as well as advocate for broad cultural shifts to improve the local organization and EG.Looking for an individual to join Site Reliability Engineering group, who deeply cares about end-to-end resiliency and performance of customer transactions that are critical to Expedia` Group`s business. Work closely with developers and architects across the company influencing development of reliable products, standardization of common solutions and patterns, and adoption of resiliency and reliability principles.

Experience12+ years for Bachelor's10+ years for Master'sPeople Management5+ yearsEducationManages at least 2 people managers.Executes capacity planning/allocation for +30 team size.Drives a multi-year technological roadmap/program.

Builds strategy for a multi product, cross functional program.Hands-on experience with Development in Public Cloud environments, preferably AWS.Hands-on experience with container orchestration, preferably with KubernetesExperience operating and implementing distributed & highly concurrent service-based architectures, including microservices, containerized services, and/or serverless architecturesDemonstrated and extensive knowledge of APIs, microservice architecture, gateways, and routers.

Partners with leaders across all of EG to collaboratively solve problems.Supports and informs EG leaders via a community of practice and product reviews.Builds relationships with leaders across the organization to understand business problems and apply a technology lens to solve them.

Identifies areas for improvement and develops innovative enhancements using available software development tools following design requirements of customer.Advocates for designing software that is scalable, resilient and stable.Exceeds customers` expectations by listening for unexpressed needs; connects customer needs to relevant service offerings and new technology.

Leads others in resolving technical issues in a timely manner; follows up with customers to ensure satisfaction.Presents work for upcoming planned efforts and enumerates risks and opportunities associated with those efforts. Demonstrates urgency for concept projects to management without overpromising.

Reviews skill and expertise requirements across the department or multiple teams and ensures that enough people are trained or cross-trained to achieve work goals.Creates contingency resource plans to ensure continuity of work processes in the face of a delay or shortage in financial/material resources.Recognizes and rewards appropriate resource utilization and creative suggestions to gain efficiency in resource usage.

Ensures optimal Full Time Employee to contingent worker ratios are maintained across several teams and overall organization.Ensures optimal location strategy is maintained when staffing teams.Places individuals in roles and assignments that stretch their capabilities and contribute to their personal and career development.

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $207,500.00 to $270,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $290,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
