Provide Machine Vision expertise and support to manufacturing processes. Support the implementation of Machine Vision related projects (mainly Cognex Insight Spreadsheet environment).

Code Review/debug of a wide a Telecommunications and Media company of bespoke vision jobs/algorithms. Investigate issues and develop solutions for Machine Vision Applications. Characterization, optimization, emulation, and data analysis on proposed Vision jobs.

Collaboration with other internal functions (eg QA/Operations/Engineering). Standardization of best machine vision practices across site. Lead vision related obsolescence upgrade projects.

Vision Training for engineering personnel. Requirements: Possesses educational qualifications and work experience as established by engineering schools, employers and licensing authorities for employment in the various disciplines of engineering, ie Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical etc. Must have extensive Cognex Insight vision programming experience and manager has added a document that goes over the requirements needed.

Candidates must have minimum 5 years machine vision relevant work experience, preferably in a regulated high volume automated manufacturing environment. Candidates must have demonstrated expertise with Cognex Insight hardware/software platform (spreadsheet environment) Candidates must have a comprehensive understanding of Optics, Lighting Techniques, Troubleshooting/Diagnostics, with demonstrable competency in vision algorithm development and interfaces with PLC/HMI systems. Candidates must have extensive knowledge of vision tools such as histograms, edge tools, blob tools, OCR, logic, image processing techniques, job profiling etc.

Candidates must have completed Cognex advanced spreadsheet training. Experience with Cognex Vision Pro, Designer and Keyence vision systems. Candidates should have a good knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods.

Candidates should have experience of GDP/GMP/GAMP. Degree in Engineering or Science equivalent Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent desirable. Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
