OPPORTUNITY PRESENTATION Structural Engineer/Senior Structural Engineer Columbia, SC Work for an award-winning professional services company that has current and/or completed projects in 25 states. This role reports directly to the Board and is responsible for coordinating all activities of the Structural Department.

This position requires daily coordination with the PIC and project team for each of the firm's active projects. PE registration in SC (or ability to quickly acquire same). NCEES registration (or ability to secure same). Ability to obtain additional state professional registrations as required. o Min.

10 years' experience as a registered PE in structural design with a variety of building materials: steel, concrete, precast concrete, tilt-up concrete, masonry, cold-formed steel framing and familiarity with construction details & requirements for each. Experience with special foundations and deep foundations of various types. o Design-Build experience, or the desire to work in that environment, required.

o Industrial/Distribution/Logistics building type experience, or the desire to work on those types of projects, required o Construction experience desirable. o Experience with renovation, upfit and expansion projects beneficial § Knowledge and Skillset Requirements o Self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills, able to work well in a team environment with architects, engineers, and construction professionals. Must be detail oriented and highly motivated with the ability to budget, direct, and assign the work of the Structural Department Staff.

o Good graphic, written, and verbal skills in the appropriate media. o Strong analytical skills to support program development and design decisions. o Full understanding of current building codes and regulations applicable to the projects including but not limited to: ICC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, AISI, TMS, FM Global.

o Experience with defining and specifying design loads, material selection, development of project specifications, construction drawings, shop drawing review, and resolving any issues and conflicts that arise during construction. o Able to visit existing client facilities and active construction sites, and make observations of existing conditions, current challenges encountered during construction, or other issues that may require physically traversing the site and/or building to observe and measure pits, roofs, mezzanines, or other structures not at the main level of the structure. o Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office Suite.

Experience with RAM Structural Systems, ENERCALC, or other suitable computer aided design software. o Demonstrated ability to independently produce medium and large project documentation. o Ability to assist with company sales and marketing efforts as required, including but not necessarily limited to preparing preliminary project design, estimating project design fees, writing proposals and attending business development functions.
