You will be responsible for building and leading high-performing engineering teams focused on developing and shipping features that accelerate user acquisition, engagement, and retention. You will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of software development practices and a proven ability to motivate and develop individual team members.Responsibilities:Define and lead the execution of the engineering roadmap for growth initiatives.
Build and scale high-performing engineering teams focused on growth products and features, leveraging React/React Native, Ruby on Rails/Node JS, and AWS.Partner with product, marketing, and data science teams to identify and prioritize growth opportunities.Architect and design scalable, maintainable, and performant software systems.
Implement best practices for agile development, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and code quality.Recruit, hire, and develop top engineering talent with a focus on growth expertise.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
Manage team performance and provide regular feedback and coaching.Track key metrics and analyze data to measure the impact of engineering efforts on growth.Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including senior leadership.
About your background and skillsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).7+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally in web and mobile consumer applications.2+ years of engineering management experience managing at least 6 engineers.
Demonstrated ability to hire and support engineers in their career progression.Strong computer science fundamentals, a computer science degree preferred.Experience in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, high-growth environment like ours.
Excellent software engineering aptitude in React/React Native, Ruby on Rails/Node JS, and AWS.Ability to provide technical mentorship and guidance to your team.Proactive, solution-oriented mindset and approach to problem solving.
